THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

 SYNDICATE SADISTS (1975)

THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

Ah 70s Italian cinema, ti amo! Take for example #119, the Italian crime drama Syndicate Sadists (crappy American title) from 1975 featuring Thomas Milian as Rambo. Yes, Rambo! He's a tough gritty biker who gets caught in a crime war between two families and gets involved when his brother is brutally murdered. He goes after his revenge as you might expect. Car chases, shootouts, all the standard stuff done well. Oh and Joseph Cotten as a crime boss family who's hiding the fact that he's blind.

BTW: the character name Rambo in this film came about when Milian read the first Rambo novel, First Blood, on a plane, loved it, and tried to get the rights to make the movie. He was unable to, but did secure the rights to use the character's name in a separate film, this one. The More You Know...
