CAN HE DO IT?

THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

SPECTRE (2015)

#114 of the 2015 countdown is the new Bond flick Spectre. This film, for no really good reason, is way too long (141 minutes) and way too routine to be anything other than just another entry in the series. Christoph Waltz as the Bond villain has too little screen time and is way too restrained. Daniel Craig is solid as always, and I did like very much M, Q and Moneypenny being very active and involved in the plot, even getting their hands dirty. But Dave Bautista as an ersatz Oddjob (without the hat) doesn't add very much. I can't remember ever checking my watch during a 007 film until tonight. Hoping that the next Bond movie shoots a little higher than Spectre.
