SOMETNING FOR A LONELY MAN (1968)

#129 is more the completion of a search for an elusive obscure movie than anything else. Something For a Lonely Man (1968) is a TV film which featured Dan Blocker (Hoss from "Bonanza) in a change of pace role. Still a western, Blocker is a blacksmith who longs to recover a steam engine that has fallen off of a locomotive and into a pond. It will do tremendous good for the town he lives in. Susan Clark aggressively pursues him to be his wife and Warren Oates even turns up as one of Clark's brothers. Simplistic and quite silly, Blocker is fine in this very broad and inconsequential film.
