SICKNESS (2017)

This film had its world premiere at the Reel East Film Festival with many of its stars and director in attendance.  Unfortunately production problems led to an extremely long cut of the film being shown.  The story of some sort of viral sickness from a vague cause (Bath salts?  Environmental factors?) leads to certain members of the population becoming zombieish killing machines out for blood.  Lacking a cohesive story, Sickness repeats numerous killer vs. victim encounters until you are numb and don’t really care who lives or dies.  Some really gore effects can’t make up for the boredom that makes up a significant chunk of this movie and some scenes are borderline torture porn scenes/   Kevin Smith regular Brian O’Halloran appears briefly as a dentist.

TLA one-word review: yawn
