THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

MARTIN (1977)

We hit triple digits on the movie countdown and number 4 on the Horrorthon countdown with the George Romero classic Martin (1977). This movie has always made me uncomfortable and it still does. Martin (John Amplas) is an older teen sent off to Pittsburgh to live with his grandfather. His problem is that he thinks he's a vampire. He may not be a vampire but does it matter - he has a way with needles, drugs and razors to take blood from people. This is a unique film that showed early on that Romero could do much more than just zombie flicks. Not for the squeamish.
