THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

The first three movies of 2015 are actually part of Bad Movie Night last night. #1 of '15 ends up as the 1974 howler Impulse where William Shatner is permitted to act free range as a psychopath with mommy issues. We call it the Shatner Master Class. #2 is the 1979 Italian horror/sci-fi incomprehensible thing The Visitor with John Huston as...well, we're not sure of what he was playing. The extras on the DVD are full of actors and writers talking about the fact they couldn...'t make any sense out of the script either! And #3 is one of the worst musicals ever made, 1973's Lost Horizon. This movie ended the career of producer Ross Hunter, pretty much broke up the legendary songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David, who wrote some pretty terrible songs here, and was such a box office flop that it became known in Hollywood as "Lost Investment." Ridicule was in abundance last night - and then some!!! Even Emma Martir dropped by and got off some solid zingers!
