THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

#23 - JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK (2017)

#23 continues on our super hero theme - the new Justice League Dark film just was released on DVD and it's great to see the DC Comics supernatural characters featured in an animated film of their own, although Batman has to gather them and hang out for the whole movie to make sure people buy this DVD (only Batman and Superman can move product, it seems). The plot is muddled but who cares when we get to see (forgive me for geeking out here) John Constantine (still voiced by Matt Ryan, who played the recent live action version of Constantine on NBC), Swamp Thing, Zatanna, Deadman and Etrigan the Demon battle the forces of magic when the likes of Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman are defeated. Also great to hear Rosario Dawson as the voice ok our favorite Amazon (forgive me for continuing the Rosario Dawson thread from the last movie). Oh and this is rated R for some grisly killings and because Deadpool. If you are a comic book reader, Justice League Dark is a must-see.

TLA one-word review: intense
