THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

Just twenty more flicks the rest of the year til I hit the 200-movie mark!! #180 is Inferno, this year's movie featuring Dr. Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), the hero of Dan Brown's novels. In this one, Langdon wakes up in a Florence hospital with a head wound and excessively creepy visions. Then a mysterious woman arrives and starts shooting at him. With the help of his ER doctor (Felicity Jones), they escape and start figuring out what happened to him. It all connects to a ...biohazard container Langdon is carrying that has ties to Dante and they follow the clues that lead them all over Florence, Venice and Istanbul while being chased by the World Health Organization and that hospital gunmen. Plot is pretty Byzantine so just take in the familiar sights of Hanks as the prof figuring all these clues out while running for his life from international no-goodniks. We loved seeing some of the sights that we visited in Florence and Venice years ago - that was our highlight.
