THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

ELIMINATORS (1986)

#62 and 2 of the Empire Pictures marathon is the hilariously bad Eliminators (1986). See, Patrick Reynolds is a Mandroid and the evil scientist he works for orders him to be dismantled. He escapes instead and goes to Colonel Hunter (Denise Crosby) for help. They hire a boat owned by shifty Harry Fontana (Andrew Prine, quite amusing) and go off to fight the evil scientist where they encounter cavemen (bad) and a ninja (good). Honest. Amazingly dumb stuff ensues. Incidentally, Patrick Reynolds is the grandson of tobacco giant R.J. Reynolds and today he is an anti-smoking activist. Good cause acting wasn't gonna work out.

TLA one-word review: ridiculous
