CRAWLSPACE (1986)

#136 is the reprehensible amateurish Crawlspace (1986). I only looked at this again because it was one of the very first movies we ever watched on a pay movie channel. This viewing doesn't have the oh-my-goshness of hearing bad words and seeing blood and nudity on a TV screen for the first time. Klaus Kinski is the demented son of a Nazi surgeon who runs an apartment house for women with all kinds of secret passageways, and of course he goes from eavesdropping to killing. Kinski's a VERY offbeat actor so he's always interesting to watch but this film is just dumb dumb dumb. Tip of the day: never rent an apartment from a white-haired lunatic who likes to screen inspirational Hitler speeches in his attic.

TLA one-word review: stupid
