CONCORD AFFAIR '79 (1979)

Catching up on some rather obscure films for the countdown...#87 is a rare bird I didn't know existed til recently. Concorde Affair '79 was an awful Italian attempt to cash in on the Airport movies of the era (which weren't that good themselves). A Concorde test flight is sabotaged and NY Times reporter James Franciscus is tipped off about it by his ex-wife in Martinique and says there's an expose to be had! He flies there but she's suddenly dead of a heart attack. The fis...hermen who found the only survivor, stewardess Mimsy Farmer, are also shot dead. They're dead from bullets. Joseph Cotten has something to do with it as the airline owner. Van Johnson is a pilot who gets to fly a second sabotaged Concorde and everyone collects a paycheck and goes home. This flick is sabotaged as well - by an incoherent script but unintentionally amusing.

TLA one-word review: dumb
