THE WEBER MOVIE COUNTDOWN

THE CHILDREN (1980)

Oh, and speaking of obscure horror films, I came across 1980's The Children the other day on YouTube, a cheesy ultra-low budget film that is far sillier than I remember it when I watched it on PRISM a thousand years ago! It stars two guys from the NBC soap opera The Doctors (Gil Rogers and Martin Shakar) at the time and the plot involves some sort of radioactive gas that hits a school bus and turns all the kids into (gasp) MONSTERS that want to fry their parents by touch and (double gasp) IT TURNS THEIR FINGERNAILS BLACK! That's how you know they're monsters. Oh, and they put their arms up in the air, another clue. I've spent too much time on this already. It should return to the obscurity from whence it came...#173
