CAPTIAN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016)

#61 is Captain America: Civil War. DISCLAIMER: I am a 100% comic nerd from way back so that could color my opinions. And, as Marvel keeps doing with the majority of these films, this one hits another home run! This is darker and more serious then the other Avengers films (and let's be frank, this is really an Avengers movie) but unlike the DC effort, CA:CW excels at telling a solid story with fully fleshed out characters (for a comic book movie anyway) where you feel the co...nsequences to each character. The governments of the world feel that super-heroes need some oversight and control, and ask the heroes to sign a pact agreeing to this. Some do, others disagree and do not sign. And it leads to a massive conflict where the heroes battle one another and it's a terrific scene. Spider-Man and Black Panther are introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as the most gorgeous incarnation of Aunt May EVER (Marisa Tomei)! More like she should have played Mary Jane Watson. But I digress. We enjoyed Civil War tremendously - a spectacle with story and characters. DC, PLEASE take note - this is the way to do it.

TLA one-word review: awesome
