THE BOSS (2016)

110 is clearly one of the worst films of the year so far. Melissa McCarthy's vanity project The Boss is simply awful. Not funny. Not clever. Awful. She's a rich corporate head who gets caught doing some insider trading and goes to jail for five years. When she gets out she has nothing - no home, no job, nuttin'. So she heads to the home of her former assistant (Kristin Bell) and proposes that they take on the Dandelion Girls and sell brownies for profit. And they go a...gainst her rival and ex-lover Peter Dinklage...oh hell, who cares. This is lousy. Directed by her hubby Ben Falcone, co-written by Ben and Melissa and another guy (I'm sure he'd appreciate me not mentioning his name), produced by both of them, The Boss clearly had no one on set who could tell the director and star how crappy their script was. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!! P.S. Amy Fisher Martir is here too but the movie put her to sleep halfway through.

TLA one-word review: Yuk!
