BAD MOMS (2016)

Bad Moms. #101 of 2016. It's an absolute cartoon - WAY over the top! But extremely funny at times!! Mila Kunis is a mom who tries to take care of everything plus work and take the kids to school and afterschool stuff and cook all the meals and deal with a crappy husband. One particularly bad day, she just throws up her hands and decides the hell with it. She becomes a "bad mom." She ends up joining forces with foul-mouthed scenery-chewing mom Kathryn Hahn (who steals ev...ery scene she is in) and frumpy, by-the-book, sheltered mommy Kristin Bell (also hilarious) as they do all sorts of raunchy things including a late-night drunken trip to a supermarket that sets the tone. PTA president Christina Applegate can't have any of that and sets out to control Kunis by getting her soccer-playing daughter benched and later planting grass in her locker. Yep, she's the villain and she's also pretty good. Don't pay too much attention to the plot and watch Hahn and Bell in every scene they're in - they're a blast. Bell pulls off some nice physical comedy here, playing against type. Like I said, a lot of funny lines that you won't believe are being said (this carried a well-deserved R rating so if anyone takes their kids to this, you're automatically a bad mom!). Silly but extremely humorous at times. Something to see with a good-sized audience. Oh and a very funny & sweet credits sequence worth staying around for.

TLA one-word review: riotous
